Macc come back to shoot down Shots
Ross Draper made one and scored another as Macclesfield completed a remarkable second-half comeback to down Aldershot 2-1.
The visitors had goalkeeper Jose Veiga to thank for keeping out Luke Guttridge and Michael Rankine, before Danny Hylton struck for Aldershot before half-time.
But following a wretched first-half display, Draper inspired Macclesfield to just their second away league win of the season, first setting up George Donnelly, before volleying home the winner 17 minutes from time.
The result continues Macclesfield's unbeaten record against the Shots in League Two, and inflicted Dean Holdsworth side's fourth defeat on the spin.
After Hylton was denied a certain penalty, his 25-yard thunderbolt looked like setting Aldershot on their way to a much-needed three points.
However, the second period saw the rejuvenated Silkmen level within eight minutes, as Donnelly punished Anthony Straker's wayward pass.
The Cape Verdean goalkeeper again came to the away side's rescue, keeping out Alex Rodman's free-kick and Peter Vincenti's header, as Aldershot's dominance continued.
But Draper had the last word, volleying home after some uncertain defending from the hosts.
