In Coca-Cola League Two, seven games moved to the Friday night. Three stayed on Saturday but kicked off at 1.00 am and two, including Macc's game, went to Sunday afternoon.
The seven Friday night games saw attandances as follows as a percentage of the home team's average gate so far this season.
Cheltenham Town vs Chester City - 100.71%
Northampton Town vs Grimsby Town - 97.24%
Rochdale vs Yeovil Town - 88.11%
Scunthorpe United vs Wycombe Wanderers - 93.08%
Shrewsbury Town vs Rushden & Diamonds - 93.86%
Southend United vs Boston United - 129.95%
Swansea City vs Mansfield Town - 118.97%
The three Saturday games
Cambridge United vs Bristol Rovers - 78.20%
Leyton Orient vs Bury - 85.23%
Lincoln City vs Kidderminster Harriers - 73.81%
The two Sunday games
Macclesfield Town vs Notts County - 110.38%
Oxford United vs Darlington - 125.42%
So it looks like the friday night games saw attendances mostly around about average with a good figure for Southend/Boston game, but that is like a local derby. Also Swansea doing well. The Saturday games all did badly, no doubt a lot of people electing to stay at home and prepare for the World Cup Qualifier. So the winner appears to be the Sunday afternoon games. With nothing to go up against on the telly it looks like people came to watch a game in person.
