The fixtures were put out the same day as the Pontin's Holiday League Cup, but unfortunately this reporter couldn't find them on the Football League website.
Anyway, enough of my troubles - The thirty four participating reserve teams in the Pontin's Holiday League are split into three divisions - twelve in the Premier Division, twelve in Division One West and ten in Division One East. Macclesfield Town reserves are in Division One West alongside - Blackpool, Burnley, Bury, Carlisle United, Chester City, Manchester United, Oldham Athletic, Rochdale, Shrewsbury Town, Stockport County and Wrexham.
So as well as the visit from the mighty Manchester United reserves to the Moss Rose in the Pontin's Holiday League Cup in the week commencing 20th September, there is also a visit on Wednesday 10th November in the Pontin's Holiday League. There is also a return visit in the new year to wherever it is United play their reserve game fixtures these days - it used to be Gigg Lane, but I don't think it is now - more details nearer the day.
For Macclesfield Town, the League kicks-off on Wednesday 18th August with a visit to Chester City and the first home fixture is Wednesday 1st September against Oldham Athletic. Both games are billed as 2.00 pm kick offs.
